Lunar: Dragon Song

by Camel Pimp

Part 19

Alright, so. That L1 run I mentioned some time back? I tried it. It... Might be possible, but I'm not feeling it.

Game start, text dump, blah blah blah. Pick up Lucia, get Sneakers. Same as you would in a normal game.

Make way to Perit Village, fighting as much as possible. You *need* those Sundries. Make sure you pick up the Ring and gums here.

Perit Village, more Blah Blah Blah. Instead of going to Delrich, go back to Port Searis.

Sell the Lucky Ring, buy Lucia's Magic Robe and about three dozen Healing Pops. You may need to sell a few Sundries and the Mental Gums to reach this value.

Go back through Thieves' Woods. Kill everything, heal when you can. Get to Delrich. Make sure you have at least the Insector Card, the Gloomwing Card, and the Hellbird Card.

Avoid everything, beeline to the second Althena statue. You're going to be grinding here a while, and too many enemies in a single battle spells doom for you. Still, you need the Tick card. Solve the puzzle as normal.

Boss fight(s): Four different Sasquatches.

Can't leave between, so save beforehand and hope you have enough supplies. If either Jian or Lucia die, you've lost, just reset. You're going to have to play very defensively, and pray for good luck. Turn 1, you need the Tick card to paralyze at least one enemy. If it doesn't, you lose. Over the next few turns, focus on using cards with Jian, and healing with Lucia. Heal with both if you need to, but luck plays a HUGE role in whether you win or lose.

After that... Yaaay, grind Gad's jobs until you have 26K. About 12K that will be spent on new gear in Healriz, and another 12K will be spent on Angel's Tears. That leaves you with 4K for other supplies.

Activate plot, blah blah blah... And now it's time for Roland Forest.

I'm going to say this now - since there's no Althena statue here, you'll be going between here and Healriz for healing after every single battle. There's also new cards to be gained here... Not that they're useful, I assure you. Treant's probably the most useful card of the bunch, but it's unlikely that you'll be able to kill these - in fact, running into one of these and getting even slightly unlucky means auto-game over, no matter what you do.

Boss fight: Armored Boar

Save, and first turn. Armored Board seems to be inaccurate, so hope for a turn 1 miss, poison him with one character, and then do whatever with the other. Turns 2 through 21, you're going to be having Jian and Lucia use Angel's Tears on each other for the rest of the battle. The two are too slow to ever go before the boar, so this keep you alive until it dies of poison damage.

Escape out, see Leoncavello, get the pass...

...And this is where I'm stuck now.

There's three straight bosses in the Coliseum, and getting hit once means certain death. The first one seems fairly inaccurate, but the most I've gotten to is turn 8, and the first two of my turns are spent buffing ATK and HIT.
